Events & Projects
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including art exhibitions, workshops, and our popular Great Blue Heron Project—a community scavenger hunt celebrating public art installations around Dickinson.
Dickinson’s Bicentennial Festival will feature a Juried Art Show , which is a competitive event designed for artists who would like to see how their work stands up to other entrants. The Art Show will be open to all artists and DISD students, Junior High to Senior High.

Let’s Go On A Scavenger Hunt
The Dickinson Texas Art Guild encourages you and your family to find all of the Great Blue Heron statues around Dickinson. We’ve included this checklist and challenge you to find our feathered friends who have already landed. We’re even leaving a space for you to write down the rest of the flock as they land in town! Don’t forget to take pictures and post online using #DickinsonHerons
